Among the best companies in Brazil

Founded in 2005, BSBIOS began to run in the mid 2007. Less than two years after commencing its production of biodiesel, the company appears in the 982nd position in the ranking of the best largest companies of Brazil, in Magazine Exame.

In order to rank the thousand best companies in Brazil magazine Exame uses several indexes for calculation. Total adjusted-asset, accruals, shareholding control, sales increase, employees, company excellence, profit, patrimony and productivity among other items.

The chief executive officer of BSBIOS, Erasmo Carlos Battistella, states that 2008 was good, that has guaranteed the company to be in the ranking. "It is a great pleasure for us to be among the thousand best companies in Brazil, yet it renews the commitment of being increasingly improving", he said.

For 2010, the purpose is that status is even better, with production increase of Passo Fundo unit and the beginning of operations in the plant of Marialva, in Paraná, recently acquired by BSBIOS. "What we are observing about 2009 is that next year BSBIOS will be in a better position and so it will be in upcoming years", asserted the chief executive officer.
