Then, in order to prepare farmers, technicians, agronomists and, whoelse is interested in it, that ABRASCANOLA (Brazilian Association of Canola Producers), Sustainable Regional Desenvolvimento Group (DRS Biofuels) and Embrapa-Trigo promote the "VIº Course of Training and Broadcast of Technology on Canola Crop", this Thursday (03/15), in the auditorium of Embrapa-Trigo, in Passo Fundo/RS. The objective of the activity is to be an important forum for discussions and presentation of new technologies for canola, besides consolidating as an important technical-political event for the crop. The strengthening plan on canola productive chain, pesticides record, cases of success, market, fertilization, sowing and harvesting technologies, white mold control, among others issues Will be approached in the encounter, through lectures and panels.
To the vice-president of ABRASCANOLA and coordinator of the Improvement Sector of BSBIOS, agronomist Fábio Júnior Benin, this is an important moment. "With this course producers may acquire knowledge and update about canola and, this way they become more prepared for the crop growing," asserted Benin.
Canola is appropriate in the Southern regions of the country since it is an excellent winter crop and adequate for systems rotation. It is also indicated for the production of edible oils and biodiesel. "Another benefit producers obtain with canola is that BSBIOS, industry of biodiesel of Passo Fundo (RS), purchases all grains that were improved by the company, besides providing technical assistance to crops," he stated.
