President of BSBIOS assumes board at CIERGS

Solemnity happened by videoconference

This Monday (20), in Porto Alegre/RS, was in sworn the new board of the Federation and the Center of Industries of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (FIERGS/CIERGS) for the management 2020/2023. The solemnity was broadcast on video conference, meeting the covid-19 prevention protocols. Gilberto Porcello Petry was reappointed in the presidency of the entities. Also in office, as director of CIERGS, the president of BSBIOS, Erasmo Carlos Battistella.

This is the second time that the entrepreneur participates in the board of the Confederation; the first occasion was in the mandate of 2014/2017. Battistella says he accepted the invitation because he believes in the potential of the Sector. "One of the great alternatives to get the economy of Rio Grande do Sul out of this feeding stage is through industry. In the State and Brazil, the industry is practically abandoned. We need to be stronger and united with entities to remind state and federal leaders how important industry is, thus effectively collaborating on plans and actions to improve the industrial environment, and with that we will see our economy prosper, with the generation of jobs and adding value to the raw materials produced here," he said.

"My participation proposition is focused on valuing the industry. It can bring to Rio Grande do Sul gigantic differentials for the economy," said the entrepreneur, stressing that he respects the importance of all other sectors of the economy, but reaffirming the importance of industry.

The election for the leadership of FIERGS/CIERGS, in the 2020/2023 administration, took place on June 9. The entities represent 110 Trade Unions and industries in the RS.
